03 — licences

Licences, in plain words.

One price per licence, the same for every beat. Your order receipt names you, the beat and the date — with the agreement of your licence, below, it is your proof.

in every licence

  • Record your vocals on the beat and release the song under your name.
  • Sell it and stream it on every platform, within the numbers of your licence.
  • Cut, loop and arrange the beat for your song.
  • Put the song in a music video or a visualizer.

in none

  • Sell, give away or share the beat on its own, or in a pack.
  • Pass the files or the licence on to someone else.
  • Use the beat in beats, loop packs or sample packs of your own.
  • Say you made the beat.
  • Train an AI model on it.

A lease also keeps the beat out of YouTube Content ID: other artists may have the same beat, and would get claims.

the credit

On every release: in the credits on streaming platforms and stores, and in the description of each video.

buy 1, get 1 free

Every mp3 or wav lease comes with a second beat of your choice, free — the same licence, with its own agreement. Name it when you ask for your licence: it comes with your files.

over a limit

Before your song goes over a number of its licence, take a higher licence for the same beat.

exclusive rights

The beat leaves the store and is licensed to no one else. Leases sold before stay valid within their limits: I tell you how many before you buy.

non-profit

A song or a video that earns no money can use a beat from YouTube for free, with the credit. As soon as it earns money, it needs a licence.
